There is an indoor sports hall, a tennis court, a basketball and football pitch, a hemsball court, a volleyball court.
In addition, students in our school can participate in Sports and Art Academy at the weekends.. There are 19 different clubs in our school such as: photography, drama, dance, national handicrafts, I.T.(information technology), sports ,art, robotic, etc. We have conducted different projects (like eTwinning, culture box, skyping in English lessons) with Canada, the UK, Poland, Spain and France. Akhisar Private School is indeed an organization which cares about the students’ interest in education and academic success. Besides, it aims at educating individuals who are sociable, have good communication skills and follow the latest developments.
Our school has been conducting regional, national and international projects such as: Eco-School (a ecofriendly school) which has been carried out for 9 years, World Scholars Cup (students develop and perform their language skills in an international basis every year), MUN (Model United Nations ). Our school is aware of its national and cultural heritage. We know that it is required to improve the awareness of the protection of common values. The school mentions this in its vision. We inform our students about this issue and organize activities to achieve this goal.
We teach cultural heritage, the importance of cultural heritage and the elements of cultural heritage especially in History, Geography and Philosophy lessons. Furthermore, some local history studies about the cultural heritage are planned. Our school carried out school trips to the Ancient City of Ephesus, Pergamon, and Sardes Ancient City. World Culture Heritage is our common history: giving importance to this and protecting it is a common goal.
With that in mind, our school aims at supporting this project internationally. The staff who will be involved in this project adopts the vision of our school. Our great team is made up of excellent persons; our students and teachers are informed about cultural heritage and its importance: they are capable of planning visits to the closest cultural heritage sites, since they are well aware of the international importance of these topics. By joining this project, our students will also increase their awareness about these cultural heritage sites.
Besides, the administration of our school is aware of the importance of the topic and it totally. The school coordinator of the project is also a History Teacher. This will help the project continue in a more controlled way.
